| Jim and Ken Dickman are the owners of JKAerotech. We started talking about Warbird SSC planes in January 2002 and they have prototyped several designs and will soon offer them to any modeler who wants one. And, want one, you should because this plane builds fast, light and pretty. It uses pink Foamular 150 for its fuse and wings. The tail is coro and fuselage doublers are coroplast and the firewall is 1/4" ply. A lot of thought has gone into this kit. The fuse is incredibly tough with the 2mil coroplast doublers on each side protecting the fuse and tank. The servos, battery pack and receiver are in hollowed out recesses under the canopy. The finish is strapping tape with packing tape over it. The finished plane is the lightest SSC Warbird I've built to date at 40 ounces or exactly 2-1/2 lbs. Stay tuned for a flight report soon |
