Hat Trick RC offers a wide selection of Open and
Warbird SSC Designs.  The Patriotic MiniChoker on
the left was built by Ron Caravona in late 2002, Mike
Fredricks is shown on the right with his ME109
Warbird.  He also offers the P51 Mustang, Hawker
Hurricane, and F4U Corsair. These quicks are quick
building and fly extremely well.  All foam is CNC cut.

The Lanier Ripper is the SSC edition to the combat series.  Featuring a tough HDPE
milled fuselage, foam wing with leading edge cuffs plus numerous high quality parts
it is has done well on the combat circuit in 2004.  Click on the photo to go to the
Lanier RC web site for the model.
The Panther shown on the left is the latest offering from a well
established combat manufacturer, Tufflight.  They also offer Open B
Predators and Predator X's.  All are extremely well engineering kits and
offer excellent flight performance.  Like the Piranha the Panther can cross
over into Open B if the pilot wants to fly two classes with the same plane.

I built one of the earliest prototypes of the P51 shown on the
left.  It is a very good value in a kit and flies extraordinarily
well.

It uses the by now legendary JKA construction technique of
foam wings, coroplast interlocking tail feathers and a foam
fuselage with 2 mil coroplast doublers anchoring the front.  At
the top of this page you can go to a link to the construction
article on the prototype I built. Click on the photo to go to
JKAerotech's well illustrated web site.
