You will need the following components and tools to build a Georgia Gorilla:
- Gorilla Wing cores from AeroWright
- Gorilla CNC HDPE Motor Mount from AeroWright
- Plastic Fence post available from Tractor Supply Company.
- Catalog Page 408, Poly Batten, 1-1/2 in x 1-1/8 in x 49 in. The TSC part number is 36-01148,
$2.92 ea.
- Two 36” aileron or trailing inch stock 2” wide.
- 2 X 60” 1/8” fiberglass rods from www.mscdirect.com , catalog page #1793, MSC part #31983836,
$2.41 each. - One roll 3M Bi-Directional Strapping tape available at Office Depot and Staples in Packing and
Shipping Section - Colored packing tape for covering from www.fast-pack.com/colored_tape.html - choice of many color
- Adhesives for construction:
- Elmer’s Ultimate Polyurethane glue (also known as “ProBond”) or Gorilla Glue
- Epoxy, 30 minute
- 3M 77 Spray contact adhesive
- .15 SSC legal engine
- Three servos
- Airborne receiver
- Battery Pack
- Masking tape for holding parts in alignment while glue sets
- 8” tie wraps for holding glass spars in wing, and for mounting servos and battery.
- Poster board for making templates
- Felt tipped marker
- #11 Xacto blades (buy them by the box of 100 at Office Depot or Staples so you always have sharp
ones handy) - Dremel tool with router attachment
