Blackburn Firebrand Progress
Report, August 31st, 2002
The Blackburn Firebrand was delayed in development while the Air Ministry
decided on what type of engine would be best for it.  The final examples were
excellent airplanes.   This model has a 50" span and is very light.

My plans are to have this plane finished and flying at the Mid West Nats in
Waverly Nebraska, September 8&9th.  A complete flight report will follow
shortly.

The photos of the model you see here were taken after three building nights.
This represents approximately 8 hours of time.  The wings are pre-sheeted
with obechi and the glass fuse is wonderful to work with.
