The Battle Axe is based on Chris Quinn’s 2004 SSC winning design.

Chris’s design philosophy is to keep it simple, sturdy, light, and
affordable.

Alex’s Airplanes Company in Jackson, TN produces the Battle Axe
SSC in the belief that this is the finest SSC design available.  Notable

  • The Battle Axe SSC is capable of being flown with any control
    system with 3 or more channels.
  • Use of micro equipment typically builds at the RCCA
    minimum SSC legal weight of 40 ounces, ready to fly.
  • Standard fuselage-and-tail design alleviates the difficulties of
    a flying wing.
  • Proprietary CNC cut airfoil for extra maneuverability.
  • Uses a standard clunk tank.  No messy bladders to deal with.
  • Parts are pre-cut and drilled to exact tolerances.  Kit is ready
    to assemble.
